Compression molding is the oldest and easiest way for BMC molding. In compression molding process, the operator need to weigh and charge material, which causes time and energy waste. But it have many benefits, for example, it does not waste raw material, the final products are even and with high density, it do less harm to molds and it does not produce a strong fiber orientation.
Compression molding is widely used for ‘one mold with multiple compartments’ and products with complicated construction. Such as BMC ‘plastic coated’ parts, which means the electronic components are coated with plastic to protect the components from insulation, corrosion and shock.
